How does the GOODLIFE Dog Silencer MAX work?
The GOODLIFE Dog Silencer MAX will automatically detect the sound of barking. It then responds by emitting a high-frequency sound that dogs can hear, but is inaudible to humans.
This noise is annoying, but not harmful, to dogs, so will not hurt your dog, or other pets. But your dog will come to associate the unpleasant sound with their excessive barking. It should not, however, prevent their instinctive barking, e.g. someone coming to the door, but rather work on the barking habits that are causing disturbance.
With regular use of the GOODLIFE Dog Silencer MAX, in time the problem dog will learn to be quiet to avoid hearing the nuisance sound from the device.

Getting the best from your GOODLIFE Dog Silencer MAX
The GOODLIFE Dog Silencer MAX is recommended for dogs over 1 year of age.
For best results, the unit should be switched, and left on, whenever you would normally experience your dog barking excessively. Leaving the unit on will assist in training your dog
When choosing the best position for your GOODLIFE Dog Silencer MAX, please try to locate it in a direct line with the dog you wish to train. Because the GOODLIFE Dog Silencer MAX uses high-frequency sound, it cannot work through solid walls or barriers. While it is also not harmful to cats or other pets, the GOODLIFE Dog Silencer MAX should ideally be located in an area they can easily avoid.
Some customers report seeing a change in their dog’s barking habits within a few days, while others find it takes 2-3 weeks to notice a meaningful improvement. This is normal. Some dogs take longer than others to associate the high pitched sound with their own barking and change their behaviour.
Like humans, all dogs learn at a different pace, so we recommend giving them time to learn and adjust. You may even notice a slight increase in barking in the first few days, although this should quickly settle.
In line with your dog’s learning process. we recommend you give the device two to three weeks to see full results.
While ultrasonic devices like the GOODLIFE Dog Silencer Ultrasonic Bark Control System do work in most cases, it is also possible that some dogs just won’t respond to ultrasonic dog anti-bark devices in general. This is usually because they are too stubborn or determined to let the noise stop them from barking. If this proves to be the case, we have a range of options that may prove to be more suitable.
